GLENSHEE (click here for Hotels & Self-Catering) packages include hire of equipment and daily tuition (3 hrs for beginners and 2 hrs for intermediates and advanced. If classes fall below 5 in number then beginners lessons will be reduced to 2hrs instead of 3hrs daily. Private lessons and suit hire are available on request.

Glenshee is the most extensive skiing area in Scotland with 25 miles of downhill runs over four mountains and three valleys. The lifts, main facilities and nursery areas are situated right at the car park level and beginners have an added bonus of not normally having to purchase a lift ticket on their first day!

Glenshee offers something for everyone, and its spectacular setting will entice even the most timid of novices to explore the great snowbowls to the east. The resort is also well suited to the intermediate skier with 26 blue and red runs. For the advanced skier the famous moguls of the Tiger have been a rite of passage for home-grown enthusiasts for years. Snowboarding has also been associated with Glenshee since the beginnings of the sport with the first ever British Championships being held there.

Many skiers and snowboarders have said that when Glenshee is at its best, it compares if not surpasses many of the smaller European resorts!

For skiers and snowboarders alike, Glenshee offers a variety in terrain - huge snowbowls, steep mogulled slopes, sheltered descents and relaxed runs. Glenshee builds confidence whatever your standard.

NOTES - You will require your own transport for this resort but we can arrange car hire from Edinburgh airport or Perth Rail station. Most of our accommodation is located in the town of Blairgowrie where there is access to the municipal leisure centre with swimming pool, badmington etc as well as access to many pubs and hotels. Blairgowrie is approximately a 35 min drive away from Glenshee and approx 25 min drive away from the cities of Perth and Dundee.

CAIRNGORM and Accommodation (click here for hotels & self catering) packages include hire of equipment and lift passes but not tuition. This can be arranged separately subject to availability. Suit hire can be arranged on request subject to availability.

Cairngorm Mountain won the prestigious "Golden Ski Award" for "The Most Improved European Ski Resort" in 2005. Previous European winners include Verbier in 2000 and Mayerhofen in 2001. It was awarded by the "Good Ski Guide" effectively the Association's Which Report on ski resorts globally. This demonstrates that Scotland has come of age as a serious ski destination! Situated within the Cairngorms National Park, CairnGorm offers a wide variety of skiiable terrain. The north facing corries and slopes of CairnGorm Mountain provide a spectacular natural landscape setting for winter snow sports in Scotland.

The ski area is suitable for all standards and the funicular railway provides quick, comfortable access to the mountaintop and particularly the higher lying nursery slopes. You should also have a look at the Mountain Exhibition where you will also find the Ptarmigan Restaurant the highest in the UK! Skiing takes place in two adjoining corries; Coire Cas and Coire na Ciste. Coire Cas offers great intermediate runs whilst Coire na Ciste is an excellent beginners area. However, further down Coire na Ciste the terrain becomes more demanding and is best suited to advanced and expert skiers.

NEVIS RANGE and Accommodation (click here for hotels & self catering) packages include hire of equipment, 2hrs tuition and lift passes. Suits are hired on a first come first served basis as there are only a small number held in stock.

Set in the mountains of Lochaber, Nevis Range offers a wide range of facilities. The nursery area including a small dry ski slope and the Snowgoose Restaurant plus very cosy Snowgoose Bar at the foot of the main skiing area are easily reached using the Nevis Range Gondola. From here there is access to a good range of intermediate runs with more challenging runs further up the mountain.

The views from the summit plateau of Aonach Mor to Ben Nevis are spectacular. It is here that you will find the highest ski run in Scotland, just below 4000ft. The opening up of Corrie Dubh and its Braveheart Chairlift has widened the skiing choice here including off-piste runs for the experienced in this snow-holding hollow.

Nevis Range offers great opportunities for competent skiers and boarders both on and off piste.

There are a limited number of small lockers
for which a deposit is payable, unfortunately due to limited number these are not pre bookable. Skies etc can be left overnight in stands at the bottom station in the Gondola hall.
